Burns Night
Burns Night marks the anniversary of the poet Robert Burns’ birth, one of our most famous and celebrated Scots. Celebrating the day Rabbie Burns was born in 1759 was great fun for Cedar Class. The room was ready. We had planned the menu:
“Neeps and tatties” with gluten free haggis.
Followed by oat cakes and cheese.
Iron brew for the toast to the haggis!
We set off round the school carrying a dirk, the haggis, playing a recorder and a bodharan to accompany our bagpipe music. We stood at each classroom door to share our wonderful music!
After Marj had addressed the Haggis we tucked into our wee feast!
